DAD & CUPCAKE  (THIS IS LOVE)

OUR DAD;

The ground that is now the home of Okey Doke Ranch was purchased by our Father Victor Maglio. This farm was his life long dream, as a boy Dad had a pony, and as an adult owned many horses.  He was a general contractor by trade and a cowboy/horseman by heart .  Our Father was awesome, there was no one like him.  This farm will always be his legacy. He was not just a Dad, he was the GREATEST BEST FRIEND EVER and we will always LOVE & ADORE HIM.

On June 22, 2008 our Father, suffered a T.B.I. (Traumatic Brain Injury) this accident in a blink of an eye changed all of our lives FOREVER. The accident left Dad paralyzed on his left side, he was constantly in and out of the hospital and suffered from chronic pain that no doctor could control but the one thing he still loved and talked about EVERY DAY were his horses.at times we thought that he loved them more than us, his 4 daughters who worshiped the ground he walked on and always did. The love that our Dad had for his horses was unbelievable; it kept him going and always brought  a smile to his face when nothing else could and incredible as it sounds, they loved him as much in return;  the minute they saw the truck that we transport him in turn the drive way they all would run the fence line and start to call him they could not wait for us to bring him to them.

 Horses are a love in your heart, a passion inside of you and it’s either there or it is not. To me and my sisters it's there and it is like therapy, when you go to the farm you forget about life’s problems.  You immediately find a serenity that you can’t find in any other place.

 Our Dad passed on 2/28/2011, We loved him dearly and will miss him more than anything, Dad's accident took our love of horses to another level, June 22, 2008 will always be a constant reminder of how unpredictable horses are and you should always have respect for their size and for what a powerful animal they are; this is something that everyone I know who owns a horse sometimes forgets.  Horses are a fun, exciting and challenging hobby/sport it also can be dangerous, for this reason we treat SAFETY as #1 priority and Fun #2.
